China's top cybersecurity firm, the 360 Enterprise Security Group (360), announced that it had accomplished a new round of fundraising worth 1.25 billion yuan (180 million US dollars) on Thursday.

The resources of the fund raised were mainly from IDG Capital and the China Capital Management Co., Ltd.

After the fundraising, 360 is valued at around 18.75 billion yuan (2.7 billion U.S. dollars).

China's cybersecurity industry is seeing a strong growth momentum, with a projected market value of over 100 billion yuan (14. 4 billion U.S. dollars) in 2022.

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI), big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) have brought new challenges to cybersecurity for its clients, including the government, which is set to rein in its rules on the Internet.

To protect millions of companies in the cyber world, 360 is now planning for its listing and is proactively preparing for it.

Leveraged by big data and other cutting-edge technologies as well as a vast customer database, 360 provides services such as security analyses, website security, mobile security, and data security to corporations and governments.

This round of fundraising is 360's fourth within the past two years.
