China's YTO Express profit up in H1

BEIJING, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- YTO Express Group, a leading express delivery firm in China, saw stable profit growth in the first half of this year amid continued expansion of the country's delivery market.    

The company's net profits attributable to shareholders stood at 862.65 million yuan (about 122 million U.S. dollars) in H1, up 7.63 percent year on year, it said Wednesday in a filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.    

Revenue climbed 15.64 percent year on year to 13.95 billion yuan during the period.    

The country's courier sector registered rapid expansion in H1 with an increase in business volume from the central regions and rural areas, the company said in the filing.    
  • A total of 27.76 billion parcels were delivered during the period, up 25.7 percent from a year ago, the company said, citing data from the State Post Bureau.
