Indian's Tech Mahindra buys U.S. based company for 64 mln USD

MUMBAI, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- India's Tech Mahindra has acquired U.S. based Zen3 Infosolutions for 64 million U.S. dollars in an all-cash deal through its U.S. subsidiary, Tech Mahindra said on Monday.

As per the pact, the Indian information technology company will pay 42 million U.S. dollars on the closure of the deal and the balance amount will be paid over three years based on the financial performance.

Headquartered in Seattle, the U.S. based software solution company, with annual revenues of 35 million U.S. dollars in 2018 and 25 million U.S. dollars for the six-month period ended June 2019, has offices in Dublin, capital of the Republic of Ireland and three Indian cities including Bengaluru.

The company Zen3 Infosolutions, with strong capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI) enablement services, Al Speech solutions, Cloud engineering, software product engineering and DevOps, will help Tech Mahindra in bolstering its enterprise application practice and capabilities.

The Indian company ranked the 5th among the country's information technology companies and is part of 20.7 billion U.S. dollars Mahindra group, said in its corporate filing.

With annual revenue of 3.79 million U.S. dollars, Tech Mahindra provides information technology services and business process outsourcing through its 131,522 employees across 90 countries and regions. The deal of the U.S. company is expected to be closed by April 1, 2020.
