The Baoding, Hebei-headquartered company manufactured 73,610 cars last month, up 22.98 percent year on year. Sales in July climbed 29.79 percent year on year to 78,339 units.
In the January-July period, Great Wall Motor manufactured 464,643 cars, down 16.58 percent year on year. Sales during the same period went down 14.53 percent year on year to 473,436 units.
Shares of the Shanghai-listed automaker gained 3.33 percent to close at 14.6 yuan (2.1 U.S. dollars) Friday.
