HONG KONG SAR - Media OutReach - 19 November 2021 - Scotland, a land of fine food and glorious drinks arrives in Sogo, Causeway Bay. In these unprecedented times when travel is tricky, Scottish Development International (SDI) in partnership with Scotland Food and Drink and Sogo Freshmart, Causeway Bay is bringing the very best of Scotland to Hong Kong!
Launching on Wednesday 24 November and running through to Tuesday 30 November, Hongkongers can fill their shopping baskets with a plethora of the finest Scottish fayre when more than 30 Scottish brands display their wares.
The diverse range of fresh and frozen food products includes succulent lamb from the Auch Estate, grass fed Scotch Prime beef, Mey Selections striploin and ribeye steaks, responsibly sourced seabass, smoked salmon & smoked kipper.
Whisky lovers will be spoilt for choice with more than 28 labels* (appendix: brand list) lining up to tantalise their tastebuds including Edradour, Glencadam, Glenmorangie, Bunnahabhain and Auchentoshan to name but a few.
And, for the non-whisky drinkers, Hebridean Gin, Hendricks Gin, Walter Gregor tonic water and Summerhouse drinks natural lemonade are sure to hit the spot with a slice of lemon and cucumber.
The Food & Drink Fair coincides with St Andrew's Day - the celebration of Scotland's patron saint. For thousands of years Scots have celebrated with feasts being held during the last week of November each year in his honour. And, this year, despite travel restrictions is no exception, pick up your Scottish fayre for your St Andrew's Day celebration at Sogo Freshmart Causeway Bay between 24th –30th November.
