Ford U.S. sales up 2 pct in January

CHICAGO, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Ford Motor Co. announced on its website on Thursday that it sold 146,356 new vehicles in the United States in January this year, up 2 percent year on year.

To be specific, the sales of internal combustion vehicles were 133,293 units, up 2.2 percent year on year and accounting for 91 percent of the total sales; 7,816 hybrid vehicles were sold, down 26.3 percent; and the sales of battery-electric vehicle of Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning and E-Transit totaled 5,247 units, up 104 percent from a year ago.

The U.S. automaker was the second largest electric vehicle seller in the United States in 2022, only after Tesla, Inc.

Ford ended January with nearly 370,000 vehicle stock in the United States.
