1. China's Shanghai Baoshan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd (600019.SH) announced on Monday that it will keep the prices of its main steel products for November bookings unchanged, but offer a discount of 100 yuan/metric ton (tonne) to buyers placing orders in advance.

2. Iron ores from Brazil and Australia now account for about 85 percent of the iron ores China import, compared to a 70-percent share at the beginning of 2014, Futures Daily reported on Monday.

3. The China Iron Ore Price Index (CIOPI) dipped 0.87 percent to 206.75 on Monday, according to China Iron and Steel Association (CISA). On Monday, the homegrown iron ore price index stayed flat at 203.9, and the imported iron ore price index declined 1.11 percent to 207.55.
