It is learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on June 15 that the 9th China Cloud Computing Conference opened in Beijing on June 14. MIIT vice-minister Chen Zhaoxiong attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
Chen pointed out in his speech that the information technology industry is accelerating transformation to cloud computing, mobile Internet and artificial intelligence. As an important network computing model and key application infrastructure, cloud computing can facilitate the flow of technology, capital, talent and logistics via information flow. It has promoted the optimization of resource allocation, accelerated the integration of information technology and other industries and given birth to new business formats and models. It has become an important driving force to enhance the application of information technology, cultivate and expand emerging business and promote the development of digital economy.
Chen stressed that China should follow the development trend of the information industry, grasp opportunities in the innovation and development of information technology and accelerate the development of the cloud computing industry by enhancing core technical capacity, strengthening the construction of service platform, promoting the in-depth application of cloud computing in other industries and strengthening the security guarantee for cloud computing so as to enhance the application of information technology in economy and society.
Chen proposed some expectations for the development of cloud computing:
First, enhance core technical capacity. It should strengthen the research and development of core software for cloud computing platform, promote the construction of manufacturing innovation center for cloud computing, speed up the establishment of cloud computing standard system, carry out the evaluation of cloud service capability, strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights, participate in the construction of open source community, and continuously improve the level of cloud computing technology and service capabilities.
Second, strengthen the construction of service platform. It should develop backbone cloud computing enterprises to form a batch of cloud computing platforms with great innovative advantages, influence and driving power, support local governments to build and operate cloud computing public service platforms with backbone enterprises, guide software enterprises to transform and upgrade to cloud computing and establish application software system to achieve synchronization between platform construction and ecological construction.
Third, promote the in-depth application of cloud computing in other industries. It should support the construction of industrial cloud platform oriented to the manufacturing industry, and vigorously foster new model of cloud manufacturing to facilitate the manufacturing industry to transform, upgrade and improve quality and efficiency, encourage small and medium enterprises to carry out the research and development and industrialize new technologies such as big data, Internet of things, artificial intelligence and block-chain based on cloud computing platform to create new business model.
Fourth, strengthen the security guarantee for cloud computing. It should strengthen the construction of cloud-oriented security system, strengthen security technology support and service capabilities, constantly strengthen the security system for cloud computing and effectively protect the network and information security in cloud computing environment. Cloud service enterprises should strictly implement responsibilities for network and information security, strengthen the construction of security protection means and constantly enhance security ability.
