China's logistic performance index (LPI), a leading measure of logistics conditions, gained 0.7 percentage points month on month to 54.2 percent in November, according to a report released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) on Wednesday.

It indicates that the country's logistics industry has maintained steady growth on the whole. A reading above 50 shows expansion in logistics activity, while a reading below 50 suggests contraction. Sub-indices of the LPI, including equipment utilization ratio index, main business profit index and new order index all picked up month on month. The new order index, an important factor in LPI reading, increased 0.7 percentage points to 53.7 percent last month.
