BEIJING, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Cargo and container throughput at China's ports registered stable growth in the first 11 months of the year, data from the Ministry of Transport showed.
From January to November, cargo throughput at China's ports totaled 14.21 billion tonnes, up 7.2 percent year on year, according to the ministry.
The country's container throughput at ports during the period climbed 7.6 percent from a year ago to 259.65 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), the ministry said.
Last month, China's ports handled over 1.34 billion tonnes of cargo, while container throughput stood at 24.17 million TEUs, according to the ministry.
