China's National Development Reform Commission (NDRC) Monday said that contracts of 329 public-private-partnership (PPP) projects among the 1,043 projects it promoted in May had been signed by November.
Data showed that the 329 contracted projects mainly fell into construction of public facilities, public service, transportation facilities. There were 104 waste water and garbage disposal projects, 61 water supply, heat supply and gas projects, 41 school, hospital, sports facilities projects, and 38 railway, road and port projects. According to the NDRC, all of the 1,043 projects require a total investment of 1.97 trillion yuan.
Among the contracted projects, investments in 29 or 8.9 percent of them are more than 5 billion yuan, and investments in 73.5 percent of them are less than 1 billion yuan. The Beijing subway line 16 construction project recorded the largest investment of 49.5 billion yuan.
