China's construction projects reached 533,918 in the first three quarters of 2015, up 51,833 from the end of August and 34,607 from the same period last year, said the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China's top economic planner, on its website on Tuesday.
In a breakdown, the construction projects in east China, central China and west China amounted to 215,006, 144,100 and 174,650 during the period, increasing 12,484, 11,353 and 10,760 year on year respectively. Moreover, the newly-started projects totaled 368,352 in the first nine months, up 49,601 from the end of August and 47,223 from the same period in 2014. Among the total, newly-started projects in east China, central China and west China stood at 152,320, 96,409 and 119,606, registering a year-on-year increase of 20,047, 10,573 and 16,598 respectively.
