Mainland firms' services outsourcing contracts up 22.1 pct in Jan.-Nov.

Contracts that Chinese mainland companies signed for services outsourcing were worth 111.23 billion U.S. dollars in the period from January to November, up 22.1 percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) on Thursday.

MOC Spokesperson Shen Danyang said at a regular press briefing that in the breakdown of the figures, offshore deals were worth 73.82 billion U.S. dollars, a 22.8 percent increase on a yearly basis. Hong Kong for the first time overtook the European Union as mainland's second largest services outsourcing clients, with 7.88 billion U.S. dollars of contracts executed in the first 11 months.
