China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) expected industrial added value (IAV) of above-scale businesses to rise about six percent in the coming new year. MIIT made the projection after China's industrial economy stabilized and structural reform took a material step forward in 2015.

In 2016, it required full strength in materializing manufacturing-boosting, economic stabilizing, structural reform as well as industrialization and informatization integration measures to spur the industrial economy. It forecast energy consumption and water consumption per unit of IAV of above-scale businesses, or businesses with more than 20 million yuan in annual revenue from main business, to fall six percent and five percent in 2016.

Besides, the Chinese industry and Internet regulator is anticipating as high as 16 percent growth in software and IT services sectors as well as 25 percent and two percent around growths in telecom services volume and revenues in the pending year.
