Twenty four new intercity rail lines will come into being in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region by 2050, with combined length totaling 3,453km, reported Xinhua-run cnstock.com.
In a breakdown, eight rail lines are expected to finish construction by 2020, including one between Beijing and Hebei's capital city Shijiangzhuang. Construction on the rest intercity railways will be completed by 2030 or by 2050.
