Building of a batch of key projects on transportation, ecological protection and industrial upgrading would be kicked off in north China's Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (Jing-Jin-Ji) area in the fourth quarter of 2015, said a report by Economic Information Daily on Thursday.
The investment spree is aimed to materialize integrated regional development, stabilize investment and slim establishment in capital city Beijing. Building of high-speed railway from Beijing to Zhangjiakou of Hebei province would be started within 2015 with investment of 60 billion yuan.
Intercity railways from Beijing to Tianjin municipality and from Beijing to Tangshan of Hebei province also are likely to see commerce of construction by the end of 2015. The railway line from Tianjin to Baoding city is expected to come into operation by the end of 2015. Moreover, 102-km of expressway from Zhangjiakou city to Chengde city would be in operation within 2015.
A couple of petroleum and chemical projects also would be built in Caofeidian of Tangshan city and other areas in Hebei province.
Automobile plants also would be built by Beijing Hyundai Motor Company, BAIC Motor Corporation and others in Hebei province.
