Tianjin city aims to build itself into an advanced manufacturing R D base by 2020, according to the local government.
The north Chinese city, which is directly under the central government, will focus on cultivating 10 advanced industries, namely, aeronautic equipment, aerospace equipment, integrated circuit and special equipment, high performance server and cloud computing, ocean engineering equipment and high technology ship, extra-high voltage power transmission and transformation equipment, large-scale construction machinery, rail transit, high-end numerically-controlled machine tool, and automatic gearbox.
Under the plan of the local government, Tianjin aims to achieve industrial output value of 4 trillion yuan and industrial added value of 1 trillion yuan by 2020.
