Trade volume of northwest China’s Gansu Province with countries and regions along Belt & Road routes reached 12.28 billion yuan in the first three quarters of 2018, up 27.2 percent year on year, according to statistics released by Lanzhou Customs.
In the first three quarters of this year, Gansu's foreign trade with major trading countries grew steadily, with the foreign trade reaching 29.95 billion yuan, up 35.2 percent year on year. Exports of mechanical and electrical products increased substantially, while the province’s agricultural exports declined. Bulk commodities and new nickel-cobalt materials boosted imports, said Lanzhou Customs.
With the continuous construction of the Belt and Road golden channel, Gansu gradually showed its trade advantage through four major channels to Central Europe, Central Asia, South Asia and Singapore. (Edited by Bao Nuomin, baonuomin@xinhua.org)
