Binhai New Area in northern China's port city of Tianjin has auctioned seven industrial land lots worth more than 108.8 million yuan (15.7 million U.S. dollars), the land center of the area said Monday.
The land lots, totaling an area of 260,000 square meters, were auctioned from Feb. 27 to March 6, according to the land development center of Binhai New Area.
Seven companies, including a joint venture, won the bidding, with a total planned investment of over 1.1 billion yuan.
The companies are mainly manufacturers of automobiles, medical equipment and intelligent consumer products, according to the center.
