Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has rolled out favorable measures to award outstanding medical workers on the frontline against the novel coronavirus epidemic.
According to the regional human resources and social security department, Xinjiang will award frontline medical teams and personnel especially those who have made outstanding contributions in the battle against the epidemic.
The region will also tilt the awarding policies toward those engaging in epidemic treatment and prevention in hard-hit regions, designated hospitals, fever clinics and medical observation wards.
The region has designated 11 hospitals to treat infected patients. A long-distance diagnosis platform connected over 1,160 medical institutions across the region, with experts available around the clock.
