China's Guizhou sees robust trade growth in Jan.-July

GUIYANG, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Guizhou Province in southwest China posted robust foreign trade growth in the first seven months of 2023, according to local customs.

Guizhou's total imports and exports grew 13.9 percent year on year to 43.81 billion yuan (about 6.1 billion U.S. dollars) in the period, according to Guiyang Customs. The growth rate is 13.5 percentage points higher than the national average.

In breakdown, exports hit 31.01 billion yuan, marking a 19.1-percent increase from the same period last year, while imports edged up 2.9 percent to 12.79 billion yuan.

The province's trade with ASEAN, its top trading partner, jumped 17.8 percent year on year to 8.53 billion yuan, while that with Belt and Road countries increased 20.7 percent to 15.37 billion yuan.
