Six Chinese cities and five German cities jointly signed an agreement and proposed the establishment of China-Germany industrial city alliance at the recently concluded China (Guangdong) International Internet Plus Exposition in Foshan city.
According to the agreement, the new alliance will stick to principles of open innovation, equal consultation, resource integration and win-win, in a bid to make the member cities' respective advantages complementary to each other.
The alliance is expected to explore the dynamic connection of "Made in China 2025" and "German Industry 4.0", to find an efficient approach to exploit the third-party markets along the "Belt and Road". Foshan's government said it plans to host a China-Germany dialogue forum next June, and choose ten cities respectively in China and Germany to participate in the inaugural meeting of the alliance.
