China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) and General Administration of Customs (GAC) jointly announced on Tuesday to adjust the catalogue of the prohibited processing trade, in an effort to promote the country's foreign trade.
According to the authorities, a total of 11 commodity codes were removed from the catalogue. Specifically, the silver ore sand and its concentrates were removed from the catalogue of prohibited imports, while five bismuth products were removed from the catalogue of prohibited exports.
The move was in accordance with the authorities' efforts to promote innovative development of the processing trade.
By 2018, China will officially implement the negative list for prohibited access and restricted access in the foreign trade, said Bai Ming, an official of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation under the MOC.
