The State Administration for Industry and Commerce of China released on Tuesday the guidelines on intensifying and regulating snap check of quality of goods sold online.
The guidelines put forward intensifying and promoting snap check in the process of sample check to strengthen the supervision over goods sold online. The rules also make clear the responsibility of the third-party transaction platform in quality management and ask them to establish mechanism to help concerning authorities conduct supervision and laws enforcement.
China's online business-to-consumer (B2C) market grew quickly, with transactions soaring 49.7 percent to reach 503.6 billion yuan (78.8 bln U.S. dollars) in the third quarter this year, which is generally considered a slack season in the retail industry.
