China's service trade deficit narrows sharply in first two months

BEIJING, April 9 (Xinhua) -- China recorded a service trade deficit of 43.28 billion yuan (about 6.61 billion U.S. dollars) in the first two months of this year, down 77.2 percent from the same period a year ago, data from the Ministry of Commerce showed Thursday.

The country's total service trade volume reached 713.98 billion yuan in the January-February period, down 3.6 percent year on year, according to the ministry.
