Tianjin's cross-border e-commerce trade tops 5 bln USD in 2023

TIANJIN, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- North China's port city of Tianjin reported a total cross-border e-commerce foreign trade volume of 35.6 billion yuan (about 5.01 billion U.S. dollars) in 2023, up by 16.72 percent year on year, according to the municipal bureau of commerce.

During the period, the city's cross-border e-commerce imports reached 6.83 billion yuan, up by 12.06 percent year on year, while exports hit 28.77 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year growth of 17.89 percent, the bureau said.

Going ahead, Tianjin will focus on promoting the construction of the China (Tianjin) cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone, support more foreign trade enterprises in traditional industries and manufacturing, accelerate their restructuring and upgrading, and expand their markets through cross-border e-commerce trade.
