The Japanese auto giant Honda sold 82,531 vehicles in China this September, growing 28.5 percent year on year, according to the company's official website on Friday.
In a breakdown, 45,105 units were contributed by GAC Honda, Honda's joint venture with Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (GAC), up 5.7 percent year on year; and 37,426 units were contributed by Dongfeng Honda, the joint venture of Honda and Dongfeng Motor Corporation, surging 73.9 percent year on year.
In the first nine months, Honda sold 694,807 vehicles in China, including 420,270 units sold by GAC Honda and 274,537 units sold by Dongfeng Honda. The three figures went up 34.1 percent, 40.3 percent and 25.6 percent year on year, respectively.
