The first pure electric bus co-produced by BYD (002594.SZ; 01211.HK) and GAC Group rolled off the production line of their plant in Conghua district of the south China city of Guangzhou last Friday. The K9 bus, equipped with powerful wheel rim driven motor and advanced iron battery technology, has a range of 300km on city roads on one full charge under the pure electric mode.
