China disposed 1,467 cases about imported car defection in the first nine months of this year, involving more than 600,000 cars, said Sun Wenkang, an official with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, on Wednesday.
Among the 1,467 cases, China adopted the method of recalling cars for 84 cases, involving 598,000 cars.
Sun said the increasing recall of defective cars indicates car makers need to take more responsibilities in the process of car manufacturing and using.
