China's electronics and IT manufacturing enterprises produced 1,214.1 million units of mobile phones in the first nine months of 2015, down 1.6 percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Meanwhile, the electronics and IT industry produced 207.49 million channels of mobile telecom base stations, up 2.8 percent year on year; and 14.22 million lines of stored program control exchanges, down 11.6 percent year on year.
The industry's telecom equipment business recorded a 13.5 percent year-on-year growth in sales value in the nine months, 2.3 percentage points higher than that for the first eight months of 2015 and five percentage points higher than the electronics and IT manufacturing industry's average level.
In a breakdown, the export delivery value grew 8.9 percent year on year to 772.7billion yuan, and the domestic sales value grew 17.8 percent year on year to 881.2 billion yuan.
