China's cable TV industry is expected to generate 90 billion yuan of revenue in 2015, rising about ten percent year on year, said Lu Jianjie, deputy general manager of China Broadcasting and TV Network Co., Ltd, the telecom news port C114.net reported on Thursday.
Lu said at the 2015 International Conference on Technology Convergence that the basic TV license fee and pay-as-you-see TV fee contribute less to the industry's revenue growth in the year, but the contribution by other businesses, such as broadband business, reached 61 percent. He said the industry's customer scale is approaching the ceiling, and the market competition has become fiercer, which cast negative influence on the revenue growth.
