Auto rental firm Pand-Auto, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lifan Holdings, launched a time-share new-energy car rental service on Wednesday, reported the Xinhua-run cnstock.com. The first batch of new energy vehicles in the program -- 300 cars in total -- is comprised of Lifan's homebred pure electric vehicles, the Lifan 330EVs.
The vehicles will be chiefly in service in the Liangjiang New Area and the New North Zone in Chongqing Municipality, southwest China. The 330EV cars are available for hire for 19 yuan per hour or 99 yuan per day.
Customers could book the cars through Pand-Auto's APP on their mobile phones. There are currently 45 Pand-Auto rental service stations available in Chongqing and the number will increase to 100 by the yearend, said a company source.
