China has basically completed formulation of technical standards and development plan for intelligent vehicle industry and will officially unveil them within this year, Economic Information Daily reported recently.
Insiders generally believed that with the implementation of relevant policies for intelligent vehicles, automobile industry, communication industry and transportation industry will enter into the period of fast development, transformation and upgrading.
Once Chinese government promoted the large-scale application of intelligent vehicles, a new business model in communication and transportation field will emerge, said Wu Hequan, an academician with the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
In the short term, the market size of intelligent vehicles in China was expected to exceed 150 billion yuan, according to the research firm Analysys International.
It is learned that at present, over 20 companies in the world set foot in the intelligent vehicle industry, which involves traditional car makers and internet giants.
