China's forest industry created total output value of more than 5 trillion yuan in 2015 with the largest forest product output in the world, including economic forest products, manmade board, and wood floor, said Peng Youdong, deputy head of the State Forestry Administration of China on Monday at a conference of International Union of Forest Research Organization.
In recent years, China has made great achievement in forestry reform through constant effort in returning farmland to forest, strengthening wetland resources protection and land desertification control, noted Peng Youdong In the next five years, China would deepen implementation of the ecological construction-oriented forestry development strategy, maintain forest ecological security, enhance resource protection, step up land greening, expand opening-up and cooperation, and promote modern forestry construction, said Peng.
