Project Gutenberg becomes big winner at Hong Kong Film Awards

HONG KONG, April 14 (Xinhua) -- The 38th Hong Kong Film Awards presentation ceremony was held on Sunday at the Hong Kong Cultural Center, with Project Gutenberg being the big winner which bagged seven awards.

The crime thriller snatched seven prizes, including best film, out of 17 nominations. The mainland film Dying to Survive won best film from the mainland and Taiwan of China.

Mainland-Hong Kong co-produced film Operation Red Sea earned three awards -- best visual effects, best sound design and best action choreography.

Veteran Hong Kong actor Patrick Tse, aged over 80, received the lifetime achievement award from Chief Executive of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Carrie Lam.

Founded in 1982, the Hong Kong Film Awards is one of the most important film awards in the Chinese film industry, aiming to encourage the production and development of outstanding films.
