Construction on Xinjiang's first CBM demonstrative project in Fukang Baiyanghe mining area is expected to complete by the end of October.
The CBM project, designed with production capacity of 30 million cubic meters annually, will feed compressed CBM to gas stations in surrounding cities for motor vehicles use, and feed civil and industrial demand through pipelines in future.
Xinjiang is rich in gas resources, which is estimated at 9.5 trillion cubic meters, accounting for 26 percent of national total.
