China's Ministry of Commerce (MoC) Monday said it would license two more local refineries to directly import crude oil.
Ningxia-based Baota Petrochemical Group and Shandong-based Dongying Yatong Petrochemical Co., Ltd. both have met governmental requirements on non-state imports of crude oil by local refineries, said the MoC in a notice.
The MoC, which governs foreign trade activities, also released detailed information of relevant traders of the two companies to solicit public comments by October 13.
Baota Petrochemical Group and Dongying Yatong Petrochemical Co., Ltd. have been approved to process 6.16 million tonnes and 2.76 million tonnes of imported crude oil each year, respectively, according to an earlier statement by refining industry regulator, the National Development and Reform Commission.
