China imported 26.35 million tonnes of crude oil in October, down 5.72 percent from 27.95 million tonnes in September, according to data released by General Administration of Customs on Sunday.
Meanwhile, monthly imports of product oil and #5-7 fuel oil dropped to 2.03 million tonnes and 1.08 million tonnes from 2.7 million tonnes and 1.25 million tonnes in the previous month, respectively. However, imports of LPG in October shot up 18.2 percent month on moth to 2.86 million tonnes.
China imported 274.97 million tonnes of crude oil, 25.18 million tonnes of product oil and 25.74 million tonnes of LPG in Jan.-October, up 8.9 percent, 3.1 percent and 17 percent year on year, respectively. Accumulative imports of fuel oil totaled 13.4 million tonnes in Jan.-Oct. down 8 percent year on year.
China recorded no crude oil exports in October in comparison to 50,000 tonnes of crude oil exports in September. Monthly exports of product oil and fertilizer dropped 7.6 percent and 29 percent month on month to 3.28 million tonnes and 2.39 million tonnes, respectively. In Jan.-Oct., China exported 2.29 million tonnes of crude oil, 27.73 million tonnes of product oil and 27.29 million tonnes of fertilizer, increasing 536.5 percent, 13.6 percent and 27.1 percent year on year, respectively.
