China is expected to exported a total of 6 million tonnes of diesel in 2015 on slow domestic diesel demand growth and higher diesel output, said a research note by market information supplier ICIS issued on Tuesday. Annual diesel output would reach a new high of 6.6 million tonnes in 2015, surging 65 percent year on year. Chinese diesel demand shrank 2.4 percent year-on-year while domestic diesel output picked up 3.3 percent year on year in the first three quarters of 2015.

In 2016, China would have less than 2 percent of growth in domestic diesel supply and yearly diesel exports would taper off in the year on possible control of diesel output, said Lin Jiaxin, an analyst with ICIS. China exported 4.35 million tonnes of diesel in Jan.-Sept., 8.8 percent higher than total diesel exports in 2014.
