China's top oil and gas producer PetroChina (PTR.NYSE; 601857.SH; 00857.HK) would put the second phase of Dalian LNG receiving terminal into operation in early 2016, said a local report in northeast China's Dalian city.
The phase-II project saw system adjustment and preparation for trial operation recently. Annual handling capacity of the Dalian LNG receiving terminal would be doubled to 6 million tonnes upon the operation of the phase-II project. Dalian LNG receiving terminal mainly receives imported LNG from Qatar, Australia and Iran, according to media reports.
