Deloitte: China renewable energy installed capacity to weigh 35pct

China's renewable energy installed capacity is likely to contribute 35 percent to total power installed capacity of the country, according to a report by Deloitte on clean energy industry.

China has entered a strategic opportunity period of energy reform, targeting to prioritize energy structure, control coal consumption and promote energy efficiency, the report says. For PV power generation industry, the construction of UHV transmission network, development energy storage technology, and accelerated development of distributed PV power generation projects in Central and East China in 2016-2020 would likely alleviate the problem of energy waste and prioritize energy supply nationwide.

The report forecasts that China's renewable energy installed capacity would hit 433GW by 2035, presenting a quarter of world total.
