KIEV, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's state-run energy company Naftogaz and China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, also known as Sinosure, have discussed prospects for their cooperation, the press service of the Ukrainian company said on Thursday.

During a meeting in Kiev, Sinosure president Wang Tingke and Naftogaz chairman Andriy Kobolyev exchanged their views on the directions of future cooperation between the two corporations.

During his visit to the Ukrainian capital, Wang also got acquainted in detail with the activities of the Naftogaz group.

Earlier this month, Naftogaz said it had signed a memorandum of understanding with Sinosure to get an insurance quota of 1 billion U.S. dollars, which could be used for attracting loans and investment from China into Ukraine's oil and gas industry.
