URUMQI, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- The China-Kazakhstan crude oil pipeline has transported more than 5.34 million tonnes of crude oil to China in the first half of 2020, according to the PetroChina West Pipeline Company.
The transportation volume has remained stable year on year, despite the impacts of COVID-19, said the company based in Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
The pipeline began operation in 2006 and has a total length of more than 2,800 km. According to the pipeline operator, it has piped some 130 million tonnes of crude oil to China ever since.
