Altogether 192 mergers and acquisitions (M As) took place in China in September, and the total value of the 142 M A transactions that disclosed their value reached 5.724 billion US dollars, according to statistics released by Zero2IPO on Thursday.
The number of M As in September was down by 13.5 percent from the previous month. The total disclosed value of M As in September fell 32.0 percent month on month. Of the 192 cases, 176 were domestic M As, 13 were overseas M As and three were conducted by foreign companies. In terms of the number of deals, China's Internet industry ranked first with 32 M A transactions, followed by the financial industry, 21 M A deals. Third was the IT industry with 20 M As.
