China's 3,006 public funds incurred losses totaling 650.3 billion yuan in the third quarter of 2015 under sharp market plunges, swallowing all their gains in the second quarter of the year, according to statistics from TX Investment. These funds posted 364.477 billion yuan in net earnings in the second quarter of 2015. Stock-oriented funds saw bigger losses as compared to other funds.

Only bond-oriented funds and money market funds enjoyed positive yields in the third quarter. Looking ahead, some fund managers forecast the market is to recover in the fourth quarter and stocks related to emerging industries and those to benefit from China's pending 13th Five Year Plan (2016-2020) are of high opportunities.
