Outstanding syndicated loans, or loans pooled by a group of lenders for a single borrower, in China had increased nearly 10 percent year on year to 5.52 trillion yuan by the end of the third quarter, according to the China Banking Association (CBA) on Wednesday.
The figures indicated that China's syndicated loans have realized rapid scale expansion. Meanwhile, the non-performing ratio (NPR) of syndicated loans stood at 0.48 percent during the period, far below the 1.59 percent average NPR for all loans of commercial banks registered in the same period.
Viewing from the amount of outstanding syndicated loans, the top ten lenders are China Development Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), Agriculture Bank of China (ABC), Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Export-Import Bank of China, Bank of Communications, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Postal Savings Bank and China CITIC Bank.
