China's total credit card loans overdue for half a year have reached 38.433 billion yuan, up 13.93 percent quarter on quarter, according to statistics released by the People's Bank of China (PBOC), the central bank, on Wednesday.
The figure has accounted for 1.32 percent of outstanding repayable credit, up 0.11 percentage points from the end of the previous quarter. China's outstanding repayable credit of credit cards has totaled 2.92 trillion yuan by the end of September of this year, up 4.87 percent quarter on quarter.
Statistics also show that outstanding credit card credit granting has reached 6.71 trillion yuan by the end of the third quarter, up 4.93 percent quarter on quarter. The average credit granting of each card has stood at 16,300 yuan by the end of the third quarter, reporting a credit utilization rate of 43.54 percent, an increase of 2.37 percentage points from the same period last year.
