Italy plans to establish a visa center in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, disclosed Sergio Maffettone, Italian Consul General in Chongqing. It will become the second of its kind set up by Italy in West China following the first one in Chongqing.
Sergio Maffettone noted that visa applications in southwest China had seen a rapid growth recently. Since the opening of Chongqing visa center in February 2015, some 42,000 visas were issued in the next 9 months of the year.
