Alipay, the online and mobile payment platform of China's e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, announced on September 26 that it has launched cooperation with ten international airports to provide payment and other services at the airports for Chinese tourists starting from the pending China's national holidays.

According to the report of Securities Times, Apilay also launched the "future global airport plan" at the mean time.

According to the plan, Alipay will help airports around the world to improve mobile services with mobile technology and big data. In the future, Alipay users will not only be able to pay by Alipay at airports abroad, but will also receive flight alerts and use functions such as indoor navigation and calling electric carts.

The ten airports formed partnership with Alipay are all world-class international airports in Europe, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Southeast Asia, and half of them are among the top 30 world's airports by throughput.

To meet the large consumption need of Chinese tourists during the seven-day national holidays, except Changi Airport of Singapore, the other nine airports will start to connect with Alipay, and Changi Airport is scheduled to launch Alipay at the end of the year at the soonest.
