China Merchants Bank launches "Belt Road" comprehensive financial service

China Merchants Bank launched in a summit held on October 21 a comprehensive financial service to specifically support the Belt and Road Initiative, according to the report of www.jiaodong.net.

By integrating advantageous business, global networks and think tank resources, China Merchants Bank forged the one-stop comprehensive financial service for enterprises "going out" to making investment along the Belt and Road, which is the first of its kind in this regard.

China Merchants Bank started overseas layout in 2002. In the first three quarters, it had served 1,164 "Belt and Road" clients, accumulatively providing over 220 billion yuan worth of financial support.

During the first eight months, Chinese enterprises signed 3,912 foreign project contracts in total, with the value amounting to 69.82 billion U.S. dollars and registering a year-on-year increase of 28.3 percent.
